Yuki Kaori
- Wonderful graphics, excellent scenarios : she is a perfect mangaka !
- - Earl Cain series : in London of 19th century, the young earl Cain, collector of poisons, is implicated in murders which are often committed through his father, for a mysterious aim.
- - "Angel Sanctuary" : the hero Setsuna, who loves his own sister, is the reincarnation of the beautiful fallen angel Alexiel who, thousands years ago, fought against God for his cruelty and awful experiments on angels.
Madoka Kawaguchi
- Her 2 major series are both full of emotion and meaning :
- - "Death, her and me" (Shi to kanojo to boku). Yukari and Yusaku see and hear the dead's desperate pain. While they try to help them, they also fight against their destructive acts against living humans.
- - "Sweet Devil" (Yasashii Akuma). Story of a devil who loves humans. Instead of asking for soul, he grants your wish in exchange for (many !) gold coins.
Junji Itou
- Creator of the amazing "Tomie", a beautiful and cruel girl who never dies, even killed and cut into pieces several times : each piece of her body regenerates in one entire Tomie ! Shorter series are "Uzumaki" (Spiral), "The deads' lovesick" (Shibito no koiwazurai), etc. He also realizes many short stories all rich of surprising ideas and very nice to have for the beautiful (and of course frightening ^^) graphics. Many of his works were adapted as tv films or movies.

Atsushi Kamijou
- "To-y" : story of a 16 years old music genius. To-y was at first a member of a punk band, then he gradually became the best idol star in Japan. But he realized he can have "a beautiful view" even not being at the top, and decided to return to where he came from. The graphic style of Atsushi Kamijou sometimes let us remind shoujo mangas, and this is not surprising when we know that a hidden woman helps him in his works ^^.

Noriko Sasaki
- "The doctor of animals" (Doubutsutachi no oishasan) is a very cute, intelligent and wonderful manga (^^). The hero Hamuteru is student at a veterinary school. He lives with his gran-ma, Chobi the husky dog, a cat and an agressive rooster. His best friend, who studies at the same school, is awfully scared of rats, and their professor is an african fanatic... Many fans told the author about their experiences around animals, which gave her helpful ideas.
